People tell me they are “computer illiterate” every single day. Not because they are incapable, but because someone decided technology was not for them. They didn’t grow up with it. They needed it explained differently. I grew up around computers and still learned early that tech classes were not meant for people like me; a girl who was dyslexic. I was redirected before I ever got to try.
In my late 30s, after being laid off in the pandemic, I stopped accepting that story. I went back to school and learned computers from the ground up. Hardware. Operating Systems,. Programming. I earned a degree in software development and a certificate in PC repair, both with honors. That is when it clicked. The problem was never intelligence. It was how technology was taught and who was encouraged to learn it. The Scarlet Boot exists to break those barriers. This is technology made simple, accessible, and open to everyone.
